Proverbs 13:12 ~ Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a dream fulfilled is a tree of life.
Good day beautiful people,
I pray that you and your families are all well? Today I desire to encourage us all through pointing us back to the Bible. I believe that many believers have experienced moments in their life were they feel that all hope is lost. It feels that no matter how hard you try all your efforts seem to fail. You feel stagnant in life and seem to be surrounded by disappointment. First we must realise that the Bible is our source of hope, and God has the power to renew our strength when we feel weary. The book of Psalms clearly captures the great numbers of trails which King David faced, yet he could still express that God was with him through it all. The Bible provides believers with great hope because we have several personal accounts of God’s hand of grace upon men and women of faith described in the Bible.
Psalm 42:5 ~ “Why am I discouraged? Why is my heart so sad? I will put my hope in God! I will praise him again my Savior and Why am I discouraged? Why is my heart so sad? I will put my hope in God! I will praise him again my Savior and my God!”
Psalm 42:11 ~ “Why am I discouraged? Why is my heart so sad? I will put my hope in God! I will praise him again my Savior and my God!”
Psalm 37:25 ~ Once I was young, and now I am old. Yet I have never seen the godly abandoned or their children begging for bread.
^^^ God will never abandon you, He will never leave you even during moments of difficulty.
Some things to remember
1. God ALWAYS answers prayers: The Bible does tell us that the prayer of the wicked is an abomination to The Lord, but one thing we must be clear on is that God is all knowing and all powerful. He sees all and hears all things. He is not deaf, and neither is He oblivious to the pain we encounter. God can either say yes, no, or WAIT to our request. Delay is NOT denial. We just need to pray to God to give us wisdom to know what His will for our life is. Also remember that at times we may not like the answer which God gives us, but we need to trust that His plans for us our ALWAYS good.
Colossians 1:9 ~ “So we have not stopped praying for you since we first heard about you. We ask God to give you complete knowledge of his will and to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding.”
2. We may not get everything we ask for: This may be hard to stomach, but is the reality of life. We may not get everything we ask God for, for reasons BEST known to Him.
Deuteronomy 29:29 ~ “The Lord our God has secrets known to no one. We are not accountable for them, but we and our children are accountable forever for all that he has revealed to us, so that we may obey all the terms of these instructions.”
3. The process of waiting is refining: Waiting on God for an answer to prayer gives us the opportunity to grow our faith, and improve our character. God sometimes requires us to wait in order to test us. It can be a struggle but during such times we are to lean on God and fellowship with other believers. And don’t forget God has the power to reward you for your patience.
Psalm 105:19 ~ “Until the time came to fulfill his dreams, the Lord tested Joseph’s character.”
^^^ God has a SPECIFIC time for when your dreams are to be fulfilled.
4. Jesus knows exactly how you feel: Christ endured suffering, He put up with death on the cross for our own sakes. Imagine hanging on a cross with your body publicly exposed for all to see. Hanging there for hours must of felt like a lifetime. Throughout Christ’s ministry (which was just over 3 years) He was mocked, verbally abused, and ridiculed so that we may enjoy the precious gift of eternal life. So remember you are not alone, and you serve a God who truly understands how you feel.
Hebrews 12:2 ~ “We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne.”
^^^Brothers and sisters in Christ, joy awaits us!
Hebrews 4:15 ~ This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin.
During our season of waiting on God for a prayer to be answered, it is vital for us to cultivate a heart of gratitude. We have so many things to thank God for, so pray to The Lord to open your eyes to see all the blessings which He has placed around you. I always like to thank God for life, as there are so many people who are born fighting for their life due to certain health conditions. So, keep on trusting, and keep on giving thanks.
1 Thessalonians 5:18 ~ “Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.”
God bless

We only feel like our prayers are being ignored. God always hears us but we need to trust him when it seems he is quiet
Amen! You’re absolutely right! Our feelings don’t always reflect reality. Our Father hears
