Praying for your period-Part 2

So I’m back at you again with another PERIOD POST, as promised ๐Ÿ˜€!

So I’m going to be very real with you, during your menstruation you lose blood, so it is only human and natural to feel more tired than usual, and you may also feel like you do not work to your full capacity. But I thank God for His wonderful grace which helps us get through all life happenings. Christ is the perfect High priest (Hebrews 5:5-10), because He knows what it is like to be HUMAN, because He (God) became human so He can ‘UNDERSTAND’ how we feel and sympathise with us when we go through pain, because He FELT pain too! So don’t be discouraged or beat yourself up for feeling weaker when you’re on your period!!! It’s ok! It is well!

I truly thank God because I know His plans for me are always so wonderful (Jeremiah 29:11)! I have managed to form the habit of praying over my uterus, especially regarding my periods, and I can testify that God is faithful! I know that when I am menstruating I can be a bit slower than usual, but God in His greatness always provides me with the strength that I need to do ALL which is required of me, during my time of the month. Many a times my period has come a day or two early (I’m sure my female readers will understand that one day can make such a HUGE difference to your life [plans/schedules] ๐Ÿ˜‚), which has meant that I’m not so heavy on days a need to get A LOT done. Such as church work, event planning and house work etc. And even on days when I am heavy God blesses me with just the right amount of strength I need for that particular day.

So ladies the main point I desire to make is that you should simply pray for your period ALL the time. Prayer workers. Don’t profess negative words over your body, break out of the habit of saying words such as ‘my periods are a nightmare’, or ‘my periods are hellish’. Start declaring that your uterus is wonderful by speaking those words aloud! As the bible says life and death are in the power of the tongue Proverbs 18:21. Don’t forget God has the power to heal menstrual issues if He wills to do so. We see an example of this in the bible with a woman who had an abnormal discharge of blood for 12 years (Mark 5:25-34).

Also for ME I noticed that when I consumed large amounts of sugar, my cramps where more severe. So I personally believe that ones diet plays a big role in a persons over health! So try to eat as much fruit and veggies as you can and try to lay of junk food on the days leading up to your period. I do take magnesium calcium and vitamin D tablets which have helped reduced cramps to a certain extent, but I’d say my diet has the biggest influence over my period. If your menses majorly affect your daily life, please do not hesitate visiting a doctor, as well as praying over the matter ๐Ÿ˜ƒ.

I’d love to share a short prayer with you all which you can use for yourself. Please feel free to make your own adaptions, my hearts desire is simply for you to be blessed by Gods word and to KNOW that He hears our prayers and He answers.

Abba Father

I thank you for your love, I thank you for your faithfulness because I know that you will never leave me or forsake me. Lord thank you for making me so wonderfully, thank you for creating my uterus so well. I praise you for how you carved me out to be. And right now I come against every evil thought related to my period, I rebuke thoughts of anxiety right now, and I hold my thoughts captive to the obedience of Christ Jesus. During my period Lord my body shall bring you glory, for I have been created to give you pleasure. Lord if this pain I feel is not inline with your will concerning my life I pray that the blood which you shed on calvary will heal me right now in the mighty name of Jesus. And Father if this challenge which I face is part of your will for my life, give me the strength to get through, so that I may still bring you glory. And Lord help me to use my period experience to encourage other females facing similar trials to me. Heavenly Father I thank you because I know that you have heard and answered.

In Jesus name.

Have a blessed day readers
