Hey lovely human beings
Today’s post surrounds the bible passage Jeremiah 40:2-5, the words in these verses excite me as I believe that it is very relatable to the current situation we are facing in the United Kingdom. I don’t know about the rest of you British folks out there but I’m so sick and tired of hearing the word Brexit! To me it’s almost become like a word which carries no power (due to the undeceive predicament our nation is in, as we are yet to EXIT the EU), yet has the ability to bring a nation to a stand still.
So the revelation which I got upon reading this scripture was…..
Even in the midst of chaos and uncertainty, God will make a way where there seems to be no way for His children who TRUST Him. In a time where people have options being made for them by default, you as Gods obedient child will have choices. You will not be restricted but will have the power to choose. Even though circumstances and options may seem bleak, just know that where ever you are GOD IS WITH YOU, AND WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU! You just have to keep on holding on, and commit yourself to Gods word, and living in obedience!
People where being taken in chains to Babylon by force, yet Jeremiah was told he could do whatever he wanted/go wherever he desired. I mean the circumstances for Jeremiah weren’t absolutely great either way, it was probably tough and lonely for Jeremiah, but He had the ‘POWER’ to choose, and the promise of the presence of God! The thought of Brexit may be very scary for many, but just trust the fact that God has your back and will NEVER abandon you 😀 (Deuteronomy 31:6).
Jeremiah 40
2 The captain of the guard called for Jeremiah and said, “The Lord your God has brought this disaster on this land, 3 just as he said he would. For these people have sinned against the Lord and disobeyed him. That is why it happened. 4 But I am going to take off your chains and let you go. If you want to come with me to Babylon, you are welcome. I will see that you are well cared for. But if you don’t want to come, you may stay here. The whole land is before you—go wherever you like. 5 If you decide to stay, then return to Gedaliah son of Ahikam and grandson of Shaphan. He has been appointed governor of Judah by the king of Babylon. Stay there with the people he rules. But it’s up to you; go wherever you like.”
God bless and stay blessed
Love you guys
