The blood of Jesus cleanses feelings of condemnation, guilt, & unworthiness.

Good day beautiful people

Today I want to remind you that in God’s eyes you are not unworthy. You are a precious child of God adopted into His glorious family. You have been made whole and clean by the blood of the Lamb. The Lord has rejected Satan’s accusations against you.

Zechariah 3:2-4 ~ And the Lord said to Satan, “I, the Lord, reject your accusations, Satan. Yes, the Lord, who has chosen Jerusalem, rebukes you. This man is like a burning stick that has been snatched from the fire.” Jeshua’s clothing was filthy as he stood there before the angel. So the angel said to the others standing there, “Take off his filthy clothes.” And turning to Jeshua he said, “See, I have taken away your sins, and now I am giving you these fine new clothes.”

Yes sin is a very serious problem but we thank God for the blood of Christ which cleanses us from ALL sin. As believers we should not allow Satan make us feel guilty, as feelings of guilt are NOT from God. Furthermore we must not let sin dominate our lives, we should not live to satisfy sinful pleasures.

One of the main points which I desire to present in today’s post is, you should not be afraid to ask your Heavenly Father for what you need and or desire! God is calling out to your soul asking ‘what is the matter dear child, what do you need, I am here for you’?

Luke 18:40-41 ~ When Jesus heard him, he stopped and ordered that the man be brought to him. As the man came near, Jesus asked him, “What do you want me to do for you?” “Lord,” he said, “I want to see!”

As I’ve mentioned in previous posts God is not a kill joy. God does not sit on His heavenly throne waiting for someone to mess up just so He can punish them. We serve a loving, just, merciful, kind, and caring God who is always ready and willing to forgive. This is part of His divine nature as a just judge. If He say’s He is faithful and just to forgive, then He will truly forgive, for God is true to His word.

1 John 1:9 ~ If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

Upon reading the parable of the prodigal son it dawned on me that not only was this young man welcomed home, but he was also CELEBRATED (Luke 15:11-32)! This is a great story of forgiveness, a parable of how a generous, loving father, forgives and welcomes home his child who at one point wanted nothing to do with him. A feast was thrown upon the young man’s arrival, a fattened calf was killed because he was back home. Home being the place he was MEANT to be! He had a great welcome party and a massive hug from the very man he previously desired to get away from. My mind cannot fathom the truth that what God desires most from this amazing universe which He has created, is a relationship with human beings. He owns the whole earth, the mountains, waterfalls, and valleys, but to Him the human heart is far more precious. Your heart is precious. So don’t be afraid to ask Him for what you need!

Luke 15:20- 24 ~ So he got up and went to his father. “But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him. “The son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’ “But the father said to his servants, ‘Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Let’s have a feast and celebrate. For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’ So they began to celebrate.

The greatest gift we could ever have is salvation. Once we have God we have all things. We have love, joy, and peace which are priceless, everlasting gifts. If you need the Holy Spirit He will give you the Spirit. He is the good Father and He will not withhold the Holy Spirit from anyone who asks. It’s so amazing and refreshing to know that we have unlimited access to joy, love, and peace from God’s throne room. So if you lack joy or peace of mind all you gotta do is ASK.

Luke 11:13 ~ So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him.

As I was reading the passage about Caleb’s daughter Achsah, the film Oliver Twist came to mind… ‘Please sir I want some more’. What we must remember is that our Heavenly Father has not given us a restriction to how many times we can ask Him for something! Listen our God is KIND. He specifically told Joshua he could have whatever land he wanted.

Joshua 15:18-19 ~ When Acsah married Othniel, she urged him to ask her father for a field. As she got down off her donkey, Caleb asked her, “What’s the matter?” She said, “Give me another gift. You have already given me land in the Negev; now please give me springs of water, too.” So Caleb gave her the upper and lower springs.

Joshua 19:49-50 ~ “After all the land was divided among the tribes, the Israelites gave a piece of land to Joshua as his allocation. For the Lord had said he could have any town he wanted. He chose Timnath-serah in the hill country of Ephraim. He rebuilt the town and lived there.”

Some words of affirmation.

⁃ You are loved (2 Chronicles 6:14, Jeremiah 31:3 & Romans 5:5).

⁃ You are worth dying for, therefore you are valuable (John 3:16).

⁃ You are wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14).

⁃ Once you sincerely confess your sins you WILL be forgiven (1 John 1:9).

⁃ You are valuable (Luke 12:24).

⁃ Once you accept Christ you are forever a child of God 😀 (John 1:12).

⁃ You can do ALL things through Christ (Philippians 4:13).

Romans 5:5 ~ And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.

So be blessed peoples, don’t feel condemned, don’t feel guilty and don’t continue to indulge in sinful activities. Remember God loves you, and if you ask Him for something in line with His will for your life, and His kingdom, YE SHALL RECEIVE.

  1. I am unworthy, but God is worthy, and He loves me despite who I am! That is the wonder of the gospel- while we were still sinners, Christ died for us!

So you also, when you have done all that you were commanded, say, ‘We are unworthy servants; we have only done what was our duty.'”

    1. Thanks for that scripture. I do not believe feelings of guilt or condemnation and ‘feelings’ of unworthiness are how God wants His children to feel. The Bible says Christ came to save the world not condemn it. Yes sin is a problem as mentioned in the post but thank God for the blood of Jesus and the grace of God. That’s the stance I’m coming at. But yes our righteousness is like filthy rags. Thanks for reading
