Good day beautiful people
I hope that you’re all well, and are enjoying the lovely sunshine for those of you who live within the U.K. ? Today’s post is the final segment to our series on ‘Discovering your purpose through unearthing your abilities’. I am well aware that there is so much more one can do to help find the reason for their being, but the main aim of this series is to give you some tips on how to stay encouraged on your journey towards living out your God given destiny! I do cover some more bits and pieces in my up and coming book, so if you’d like to get your hands on one, please stay connected! Also if you’d like to show your support please keep the publication process in your prayers, and if you feel lead to financially assist you can make a donation by visiting my gofundme page ( https://gofund.me/b813010f ). The focus of today’s topic is centred upon utilising the resources which you already own!
When it comes to fulfilling your destiny, I firmly believe that the best person to imitate is Christ. He fully lived out His purpose on earth through fulfilling every single prophecy spoken about Him, through the Old Testament prophets!
Matthew 5:17 ~ “Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill”.
Luke 5:3 ~ “Stepping into one of the boats, Jesus asked Simon, its owner, to push it out into the water. So he sat in the boat and taught the crowds from there.”
^^^Jesus was extremely wise in the way He handled His daily life affairs. He utilised what He had (what was around Him) for ministry. He taught from boats, and I believe the reasoning behind that was so that the water would carry His voice/echo further, resulting in more people being able to hear the gospel! Utilise what is around you, and learn to use what you’ve got! WordPress community start making the most of what you already own!
Another biblical example of an individual utilising their resources is Moses. When Moses encountered the Most High through the burning bush, all he had with him at the time was his shepherds rod. But that was enough for God to use! The most important thing to take into account is that our ability to achieve doesn’t come from what we have, but from WHO we have. With Christ in us we can accomplish ALL the things which God (Christ) has called us to do. God used the staff to show forth His power through Moses. The source of Moses ability to perform signs and wonders was not himself or his staff, but God ALONE. Also be available for God to use, be willing to be sent where He needs you to go.
Exodus 3:1-4 ~ One day Moses was tending the flock of his father-in-law, Jethro, the priest of Midian. He led the flock far into the wilderness and came to Sinai, the mountain of God. There the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a blazing fire from the middle of a bush. Moses stared in amazement. Though the bush was engulfed in flames, it didn’t burn up. “This is amazing,” Moses said to himself. “Why isn’t that bush burning up? I must go see it.” When the Lord saw Moses coming to take a closer look, God called to him from the middle of the bush, “Moses! Moses!” “Here I am!” Moses replied.”
Exodus 4:1-5 ~ “But Moses protested again, “What if they won’t believe me or listen to me? What if they say, ‘The Lord never appeared to you’?” Then the Lord asked him, “What is that in your hand?” “A shepherd’s staff,” Moses replied. “Throw it down on the ground,” the Lord told him. So Moses threw down the staff, and it turned into a snake! Moses jumped back. Then the Lord told him, “Reach out and grab its tail.” So Moses reached out and grabbed it, and it turned back into a shepherd’s staff in his hand. “Perform this sign,” the Lord told him. “Then they will believe that the Lord, the God of their ancestors—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob really has appeared to you.”
Finally I’d like to use myself as an example. I don’t have the most fancy laptop (well tbh my baby sister has pretty much claimed it as her own), yet I still manage to produce content for people to access on a frequent basis, and I’d say 99% of my write ups have been crafted on my phone! I’ve got the app Canva downloaded on my iPhone which helps me create media images, as well as eBooks when using my laptop, all of which helps me engage with my audience. The morale of the story is that you can do a lot with the blessings God has placed around you, therefore don’t let the lack of a certain material hinder you from fulfilling your purpose! And believe that in due time, God WILL supply you with all the resources which you need. And if a necessary item costly or inexpensive needs to be urgently obtained, remember that God will make a way.
May God’s love continue to light up your path. Sending you all a virtual, godly, warm, and loving hug 🤗 .
Love from
