When things don’t go as planned

Hey beautiful people

Today I would like to encourage and remind you that when things don’t go as planned, remember that EVERYTHING happens for a REASON! So do not let feelings of discouragement overtake you.

The bibles says that ALL things work together for the good of those who love the Lord and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28). I also LOVE the bible verse Genesis 50:20 it simply speaks life to my soul, it highlights the fact that the enemy is constantly at work trying to bring people down, BUT God is ultimately ALWAYS in control! The devil may try something, but God will turn what the enemy intended for evil around for good! You see our struggles help fine tune us so that we develop a better character. Our struggles draw us closer to the Lord. And sometimes it’s necessary for us to go through the storm in order to reach our God assigned destination. God has a glorious destiny awaiting for you His child (Psalm 73:24).

So I’d like us to look into the history of the children of Israel! God had given Abraham the promise that his descendants will inhabit a place called the promise land (a land flowing with milk and honey). And after roughly 400 years of slavery in Egypt, the children of Israel finally started their journey to the promise land. And an interesting fact to take note of is that God took them on a LONGER route (Exodus 13:17-18). We cannot see ahead but God can, He is very much aware of how much we can handle. Scripture says that if they had met warfare early on, they would have gone back to Egypt (in essence they would have given up). This longer route created the opportunity for the children of Israel to depend on, and TRUST in God A LOT more than they previously had done.

What we must realise is that sometimes there is a need for us to change the course of direction in our life, in order for us to get to the same destination. This does not mean that we are failures. Many a times we need to learn to adjust to certain life changes. This provides us with opportunities for growth, and increases our dependency upon God.

Stay blessed people

Published by thegodlylady

Simply a young woman striving to encourage women of God, whilst trying to spread the gospel to a mass majority of ladies all over the world. I am an armature with regards to blogs, but with more time and by God’s grace I shall improve lol. I want every single female on earth to know how much she is loved by God (John 3:16)! Please feel free to contact me via email for encouragement, advise or prayer (I am not a qualified counsellor, or a pastor, but I believe as a young woman I will be able to relate with SOME of the things other women around the world are going through). <<< As of Feb 2019 I completed my Counselling level 3 diploma Praise God 💃🏾. I intend to help others not in my own strength, but with the help of the Holy Spirit.
