Your prayers make a difference!

Good day beautiful people

I hope that you’re all well? Today I’ll be talking about the importance of not giving up when it comes to praying for others. It’s God’s desire for us to pray for other individuals, and to have faith when doing so. And the main point that I desire to bring to your attention today, is to keep on praying for all people! Don’t throw in the towel because God hears!

1 Timothy 2:1 ~ “I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them.”

Prayers which come from the right place (a pure heart), produce positive results. The faith of a few caring friends helped bring their crippled friend healing.

James 5:16 ~ “Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.”

Luke 5:18-20 ~ “Some men came carrying a paralyzed man on a sleeping mat. They tried to take him inside to Jesus, but they couldn’t reach him because of the crowd. So they went up to the roof and took off some tiles. Then they lowered the sick man on his mat down into the crowd, right in front of Jesus. Seeing their faith, Jesus said to the man, “Young man, your sins are forgiven.”

There’s a couple of lessons which one could learn from the above passage, regarding friendship. A good friend pulls a person towards Christ. Another great quality of an exceptional friend, is that they’re willing to go arms length to see you prosper, even if it costs them. Carrying a person on a mat must have been physically tasking, especially amongst a large crowd of people. These friends even went as far as removing tiles from a rooftop, to see their friend healed! Christ SAW their faith, and He sees yours too!

Just because you don’t ‘see’ anything happening with your naked eye when you pray, doesn’t mean that nothing is occurring. Your intercession for the human race is not in vain!

Many prophets of the Old Testament (such as Moses) received glimpses of God’s salvation plan, but did not get to see the Messiah for themselves. Yet they still believed that God would fulfill His promise, and continually prayed for the salvation of others, and instructed others to obey God. Don’t give up on praying for your unsaved loved ones. You may not live to see them turn their life around, but that doesn’t mean that it won’t happen. God promised Abraham that he would be a father of many nations, and that his descendants would be as numerous as the stars in the sky. Now did Abraham live to see this promise in it’s entirety whilst on earth? Well no! Did this cause him to doubt God’s word? Well no again! Abraham is referred to as the father of faith. Today we know that Jews can be found all over the world, and that Israel is a fairly populous nation. God kept His promise to Abraham, and He will keep His promise to you too. So keep on praying. Even if you don’t live to see a promise fulfilled, our God is faithful, and our God hears!

Genesis 22:17-18 ~ “I will certainly bless you. I will multiply your descendants beyond number, like the stars in the sky and the sand on the seashore. Your descendants will conquer the cities of their enemies. And through your descendants all the nations of the earth will be blessed all because you have obeyed me.”

Hebrews 11:12 ~ And so a whole nation came from this one man who was as good as dead a nation with so many people that, like the stars in the sky and the sand on the seashore, there is no way to count them.
